1930's quilt I just finished for a client.
During the 1930's, flour, sugar, and grain sacks were made out of printed fabric. Women would use this fabric to make clothes for their children.
If you ask any woman in their 70's or older, they will tell you stories of what their mom's made for them out of this fabric. Women during the Depression Era were very industrious in stretching their finances and providing for their children.
